This is the oppertuity to hunt the himalayan tahr in its native habit and the highest dwelling large mammal the blue sheep.
This hunt isn’t for the feint of heart and a good level of fitness will be required, the camp is warm ,basic and comfortable enough for 14 days hunting.
Each hunter should be aware that this hunt is performed at high elevation upto 20000feet and so the hunter should be able to cope with altitude sickness (diamox is recommended)
This hunt incudes a helicopter pick up and drop off at 10000feet and can include a few days hiking to the hunting area with sherpas.
The hunter must know their own rifle and be able to shoot accurately at distance
You may be required to head out and stay for day or more in small tents (spike camps) in the mountains with your guides waiting for the animals and closing the distance/stalking them
It is an adventure and there is nothing luxurious about this hunt but that is the reason why all the top hunters in the world go for it and demand is high.
It is a once in a lifetime adventure and usually only available to the elite global hunters
Hunter should fly into katmandu and from there a guide will pick up
You may choose to stay in katmandu for 2-3 extra nights while the trophy is prepared for you to take home to save on shipping costs and handling charges (global-outdoors can book these extra nights for you)
The local dialect is Nepalese and some English is spoken there has never been any communication problems but you may wish for our representative to be with you during your hunt all we ask is that you cover his flights and if any hotel accommodation in katmandu is needed.
